Interesting experience :)
When I was at IPM back in the Netherlands, I could not resist the temptation to smoke weed at least once. - Again after almost 8 months. From time to time it's quite an enlightening and interesting thing. I came to the party afterwards and observed what's happening there for a while before the 'thing' fades away. What happened was a second time such thing happened to me:
You see people enjoying the party, dancing. - ... ok, that's the normal part. ;-))
And then you start noticing details, which you normally don't. Not in such extent: mimics in people's face, emotion, how different people act, who they're 'hitting on' ... And suddenly you realize that you can tell exactly who's after who tonite, who's gonna get lucky tonite, who's pretending, who's cheating on another - who's also at the conference ... and many more things. (You know who's after you, too, - although at that moment you're a bit slowed down ;-). And you can tell THIS - pretty much for every single person at the party. You see 'under the cover'. You see the 'animal' underneath, in everyone.
This is a pretty cool stuff to see once, although I'm not sure whether I'd like to live in a world, where you could see this directly (that is: without the 'thick sauce' on it): sometimes it's better when you don't see the 'animals' (or 'machines' if you will) people are - when you don't see the REAL motives behind what people do. One doesn't become so disillusioned about how things work in this world.
Comments ? Similar experiences ? ;-)))

Sometimes we don't want to see everything, living in an illusion is more fun and mysterious. I personally don't want to see all the details most of the time.
Being 'in the dark' is safer and in some cases it's a defense mechanism to keep us from getting hurt or finding out more than we should.
I like the normal version of life more than the 'slow verson'. :)
